As we pack up the event trailer this week, the moment has finally dawned on us—and it feels like more than the usual bike season kickoff. This one feels bigger. Bigger than our typical bike pun, so we’re reaching for slightly more epic language.
The Kona story is a bit of a saga—one J. R. R. Tolkien himself might appreciate. So yes, we’ll allow ourselves a little drama and say Sea Otter Classic 2026 feels like the Fellowship reuniting. We’re waking up to a pretty glowy scene shaped by our hardworking team, our friends and colleagues, and the community that keeps this lovable brand rolling.
Kona is firmly in its Gandalf-the-White era, and we’re ready to kick some major Sea Otter arse.
