Kona Dream Builds: Meet Luca's stealthy Ouroboros Alloy

This build came together with one goal in mind: create something stealthy and purpose-built. Brought to life by the crew at 2-Cycle Bikeshop in Freiburg, the setup and assembly reflect a level of detail that only comes from people who genuinely care about how a bike rides, not just how it looks.

At the heart of the drivetrain, Garbaruk delivers a cassette that balances weight, durability, and range, paired seamlessly with an Alugear crankset and chainring. The result is a system that feels sharp under load and consistent over long days, with an Alugear seatpost clamp tying the whole cockpit together with a subtle, machined finish.

Touchpoints matter, and SQ-Lab handles that side of things. From pedals to saddle to handlebar tape, every contact point is designed for comfort without compromising performance, making the bike feel just as good deep into a ride as it does rolling out of the garage.

Tune hubs keep things light and responsive, laced to Reserve GR 30 rims for a solid, dependable platform. Wrapped in Schwalbe tires, the setup finds that balance between grip and efficiency, ready for whatever terrain gets thrown at it.

The build is rounded out with a classic Thomson dropper post, a set of Nitto R Road Racing stainless bottle cages for some extra subtle bling, and some minimal 74GRAD bikepacking bags.

It’s a build that doesn’t shout, but doesn’t need to. Every component has a purpose, every detail considered. The kind of bike that rewards you the harder you push it.
